  • Updated 19th January 2025

I recently opened the doors to my brand new membership, GET IT DONE. I couldn’t be more excited! This offer has been something I’ve wanted to create since the very beginning of my business (and actually tried to create in 2019, but my business wasn’t at the level to handle it yet). We’ve had 80 incredible members sign up in the first month and I’m just having so much fun.

Goals I’m working on right now:

Creating a simpler day to day

    7 figure business

    Building a community in Sydney

  • Hey! I’m Sarah.

I set goals to feel alive.

    Sweaty palms.
    Racing heart.

    Can’t think of anything else.

Combining my background in Psychology with my training as a High Performance Coach, I help ambitious entrepreneurs, creatives and athletes achieve their goals.

l created this blog to share behind-the-scenes of my own goals and help you push your limits. I'm creating what I wish existed for me to consume.

People often ask if I’ll climb Mt Everest like my parents did in the 90's (as depicted in the 2015 film, Everest).

While I’ve done a little bit of mountaineering (Kilimanjaro in 2011 and Everest Base Camp in 2007) what most people don’t know is that my late dad was also an entrepreneur. I feel most connected to him through our shared love of entrepreneurship and attempting the impossible in all areas of life.

What If Your Life Depended On It?

ocean-ng-L0xOtAnv94Y-unsplash.jpg

If you had 24 hours to achieve your goal and your life depended on it, what would you do?

For real though – what would you actually do?

Your brain is going to tell you it's impossible.

That you can't make $5000 in 24 hours.

That you can't hit 1000 followers in 24 hours.

That you can't write a book in 24 hours.

But what if you HAD to?

Because it's like, the end of the world if you don't.

You'd do it.

You'd find a solution.

I asked my client this question last week. She told me it would take her MONTHS to find a new staff member for her gym.

Then in 3 days she had hired 2 new staff members and a potential intern lined up. Whaaaat!?

She made it non-negotiable. And suddenly all the solutions appeared.

What if you decided to me up on this challenge and come back tomorrow with results?

You've got 24 hours to create some magic, starting now.

Go.

Celebrating Wins

ale-romo-photography-CLiwQXx7kT8-unsplash.jpg

I’ve had so many awesome wins over the past few weeks and it can be SO easy to forget to celebrate, because I’m so focused on the end goal. But I want to enjoy each small win over time.

So I’ve decided to celebrate my small wins by sharing them with my friends each time, and then my big wins with a specific activity to mark the day.

For example, I’ve decided when I hit 100K subscribers on YouTube I’m going to throw a giant dance party where I lead line dancing to Britney Spears’ Greatest Hits all night, no sitting down permitted until the potato sack races are over (anyone who went to my 21st knows I’m not joking!).

And for the smaller but still big milestones with my other goals, I’m going to get one of those spa treatments where they wrap you up in foil and put cucumbers on your eyes.

What will you do when you hit your impossible goal?

Action Works Like Money

chris-briggs-VK7jXtOtEuM-unsplash.jpg

Action is like money.

The more you invest, the bigger the return.

If you invest one action, you might get no return.

If you invest two actions, you might get a small return.

If you invest three actions, you might get a slightly larger return.

And as you stack the action on top of action, it starts to snowball.

30 actions in a row and the snowball is on fire.

But ONLY if you invest your action in the same place every time.

And this is where I went wrong with my goals for so long.

I was all over the place with my action.

Think about it:

Telling 30 different people about your podcast once is like opening 30 different bank accounts and putting $1 in each of them.

There's no buzz. No interest.

But if you tell the same people about your podcast 30 times, it's like putting $1 a day in high-interest investment for 30 days. You'll end up with more than $30, because it's generating more each time.

Those same people have heard about it enough times, now they're telling their friends about it.

You're generating interest.

The first time you tell your followers about your podcast, no one listens.

The second time, someone downloads it but forgets to listen.

The third time, people are starting to listen.

The fourth time, they're inviting their friends.

The fifth time, they're leaving reviews.

The sixth time, they're asking to be on the podcast.

30 actions in a row and you're ranking on iTunes.

I used to think if I tried something a few times and it didn't work, I should try something else.

But single actions don't create results.

Trying this, trying that, trying something else – of course nothing seems to work.

There's no time for the action to snowball.

So I learned I had to pick one action that matters the most to my goal and do it every single day until I saw results.

For me, that means creating content every day and sharing it.

I'm on day 428 of blogging in a row.

When I started 428 days ago, I didn't have any clients.

Now I'm a full time coach.

I don't post it on Facebook today and then Linked In tomorrow, and then Instagram the next day.

I post it every single day on my blog, and in my Facebook Group.

Take some action.

Then take it again.

In the same place.

Even if nothing happens yet.

It's working.

Why I don’t have a back up plan

Adjustments.jpeg

I recently heard someone say “Get your plan B totally sorted so you can go after your plan A”.

Wait, what?

I don’t agree with this at all. ANY energy that you spend thinking about a backup plan is energy that could be used on your actual plan.

On July 27, I posted in a Facebook group about my July goal to get 500 more members in my own Facebook group (I still had over 300 to go in 4 days).

And this was one of the responses I got:

“If you get 350 rather than 500, is that a major fail or a huge success?”

While I appreciated where the commenter was coming from, I made a conscious decision not to spend any energy considering the option of not hitting my goal.

I decided if I failed, I would deal with it then. I trusted that my future self was strong enough to handle failure if it happened.

But until then, I was focused on success.

Every time I had a thought pop into my head of “I’m not going to make it.” I immediately shifted to “How will I make it?”

And I believe that this small shift made all the difference. I didn’t give any energy to “what if I fail?”

I ended up with 900 new Facebook group members in one day.

Don’t spend any energy creating a back up plan - it could be the reason you don’t hit your actual plan.

It Gets to Be Simple

1A1A8765 (1) copy.JPG

For the first year of my business, I was constantly frustrated.

I was fluffing around doing things that seemed like they were helping, but they weren’t.

So when I finally went full time, it was because I got crystal clear on the EXACT actions I had to do to create success, and I only did those things.

I stopped making my YouTube videos.

I stopped my morning routine.

I stopped watching free trainings.

I stopped thinking about what I ate or when I worked out.

I stopped anything that wasn’t absolutely 100% do or die essential to my success.

I zeroed in on ONLY the most important, non-negotiable tasks that would get me to my goal of being full time in my business.

Growing my audience.

Connecting with people.

Offering to help people.

For 90 days I didn’t do anything else.

I’ve actually got a spreadsheet that shows what I did every day for those 3 months. What worked, what didn’t, what I posted, when I posted it.

I simplified it to the only things that mattered.

Chances are, the goal you have isn’t complex to create either.

You don’t need any more information.

You know what you need to do.

It’s simply a matter of doing those things and not doing anything else.

Make a simple list of the non-negotiables that will get you to your goal. No extra fluff.

The do that, and only that .

Take Action From Your Ideal Self

93CE2451-5529-4F58-A50D-9C2CA8276370.JPG

Today I pushed hard.

Harder than I’ve pushed myself all year.

I ran uphill. And I didn’t stop once.

Current me doesn’t do that.

Current me gives up and walks the hard bits.

Current me procrastinates for hours and doesn't run for a second longer than she has to.

But today I didn’t take action from current me.

I took action from the person I want to be.

The whole time I was thinking, "Michael Jordan would do it."

I ran the whole way, uphill, and took the long route.

If you take action from your current self, you’ll get the same results that your current self is getting.

But when you take action from your ideal self, you'll get results that your ideal self creates.

Because you can’t get from A to B with the mindset you have at A.

You have to step into the mindset you will have at B before you arrive at B.

In other words: the only way to get from A to B is to BE the person at B.

‘Don’t get your hopes up’ is terrible advice

IMG_3165.jpeg

Telling yourself, “Don’t get your hopes up” is like telling yourself “You’re not strong enough to handle disappointment.”

I get my hopes up, every single time.

I WANT to live in hope. I want to feel the ups and downs of life. I don’t want to feel like life is a plateau.

Wildly anticipate your success. Expect it. It will help you create more of it.

And trust that you can handle disappointment if it happens.

Live in hope ❤️

The Best Business Tool Ever

matthew-henry-kZzYRiZcwTw-unsplash.jpg

2.5 years ago, I started my coaching business.

And I was fluffing around.

A lot.

I thought business was about all about logos and funnels and websites.

But I was missing THE most important thing.

Connection with actual humans.

You. have. to. talk. to. human. people. every. day.

When I finally figured that out (and then actually did it), I built up a full-time coaching practice, making consistent income every month, paying all my bills, saving money, never needing to go back to work for someone else.

Even now, reading that back, I'm like PINCH ME. I've honestly dreamed of this since I was 16.

Here is the best business tool in the entire world: connect with humans & offer to help them.
