Updated October 28th 2024
I’m currently drinking an earl grey tea with oat milk, sitting in the cafe that hosts two of my boyfriend’s escape rooms (in Brighton, England). We are visiting for a holiday and so he can help set up the next escape room with his business partner.
It’s wonderful and weird to be back in the cafe I spent so much time trying to build my business in, during 2018-2020. That version of me was so determined, but so stuck. If she can hear me, I’d like to tell her she builds her dream business. I think she already knows that, because she never once considered quitting.
I’m also working on my next offer, which will be opening for the new year. Feels full circle.
Goals I’m working on right now:
Creating a new offer
7 figure business
Building a community in Sydney

Hey! I’m Sarah.
I set goals to feel alive.
Sweaty palms.
Racing heart.
Can’t think of anything else.Combining my background in Psychology with my training as a High Performance Coach, I help ambitious entrepreneurs, creatives and athletes achieve their goals.
l created this blog to share behind-the-scenes of my own goals and help you push your limits. I'm creating what I wish existed for me to consume.
People often ask if I’ll climb Mt Everest like my parents did in the 90's (as depicted in the 2015 film, Everest).
While I’ve done a little bit of mountaineering (Kilimanjaro in 2011 and Everest Base Camp in 2007) what most people don’t know is that my late dad was also an entrepreneur. I feel most connected to him through our shared love of entrepreneurship and attempting the impossible in all areas of life.
Ready to do something impossible together?

May 2020 Goals Review
This is always my favourite time, reviewing my goals and setting new ones. I love the process of thinking about what went well, what didn’t and what I will do differently. It’s always so motivating to see how much I can accomplish in a month!
Here's what happened:
I will easily read 10 pages of a book a day in May.
Completed. I didn't love doing this though. It became more of a chore and less fun. In the beginning, I was doing it as part of my morning routine, and then eventually it became something I just "had" to do before I went to sleep. I love reading, and I've actually just bought a new book, but I didn't enjoy having it become a daily task, so instead, from now on, I will read when it feels good (and opt for reading instead of Netflix as much as possible!).
I will easily grow my Facebook Group, Impossible Girls, to 2000 amazing members by 31st May.
This was the only goal I didn't complete this month. I learned a lot from this process, and I don't regret setting my goal this high. In my first month, I hit 500 members. In my second month, we added 300 more members, so now we are at 800. I cherish every single one of you who is in the group, and it has been such an awesome, supportive space that I can't wait to grow. My plan for growth in May worked (I was inviting lots of people to join), but my energy for spending hours growing it every single day waned. I know that it was literally just me choosing not to put the effort in. This goal is coming back for June – and I've got a whole new plan to avoid the burnout I felt in May.
I will easily finish my Logo & Branding by 31st May.
Can I say completed if it's done from my end? Now I'm just waiting on my designer to send me the files – I can't wait to share my new logo with you, I'm so happy with it!
I will easily eat a salad with every lunchtime in May.
Completed! Sometimes this became dinner, but I always managed to eat something healthier than I would have if I wasn't thinking about it. Carrots, cucumber, lettuce, avocado, apple, banana – fresh fruit & vegetables make me feel so good.
I will easily do a full morning routine every morning in May.
Completed! I started out with "mediation, visualization, affirmations, and journaling", and it transformed as the month went on. I've discovered that my favourite practice is to do a meditation in the morning, affirmations in the shower, and then some journaling throughout the day as my thoughts come up. I realised that having too many things on my morning routine feels like a to-do list, rather than a rejuvenating ritual. My challenge from here is to create a 'morning vibe' rather than a morning routine. I want to get into a mental, emotional and physical space that sets me up for an amazing day – whatever that looks like each morning. I know it definitely involves affirmations + intention setting + meditation.
BONUS goal this month: I will easily create a new publicity opportunity by 31st May.
Completed! I'm super excited that I will be featured on the SOS Podcast. It was so crazy because two days ago, after realizing I hadn't completed this goal and we were getting close to the end of the month, I set the intention that I would complete it that day. A couple of hours later, I got a DM from Liv from the SOS podcast inviting me to be on it. Bam. Just like that. Thanks, Liv!

You Already Know What You Want
I'm learning how to speak as if the result I want is something I am WITHOUT A DOUBT creating.
No more "I want to". It's "I AM doing XYZ."
I am creating a million-dollar business & I'm making it happen by showing up for my mastermind, my private clients, and my audience every single day.
I am organising a tropical island retreat & I'm making it happen by creating a sisterhood of women who can't WAIT to come on an impossible retreat.
I am prepping for my TED talk & I am making it happen by getting super confident on video & practicing in-person talks.
We tell ourselves we don't know what we want, but that is BS.
If we're honest with ourselves, we know EXACTLY what we want.
We just don't let ourselves believe we can have it.
But the truth is, you can create any result you want.
So what result are you creating & how are you making it happen?
Alignment Workbook: It's Finally Here
It’s finally here. Ahhhh! I am SO excited to share this with you! This has been over a YEAR in the making, and so far I've only offered it to my paying clients inside my mastermind.
I've created a workbook of the exact process to use to achieve ANY goal.
This is how I started my business.
This is how I overcame my fear of flying.
This is how I became fully location independent.
This is how I did 50 push ups in a row.
This is how I grew my Facebook Group to 800 members in one month.
This is how I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.
This is how I'm achieving my impossible goals.
And I’m sharing it for FREE.

How To Crush Instagram in 2020
It's not 2012 anymore.
Stuff that worked then doesn't work now.
I just hit 18.5k on Instagram, and I've had a million questions so I decided to do a free training on how to Crush Instagram in 2020.
➡️Step by step how to pitch to brands as a micro-influencer
➡️My best tip for hashtags (it's reeeeally not what you think)
➡️How to work WITH the algorithm in 2020 (because if you can't beat em, join em!)
Join me in Impossible Girls here to get free access to the training.
High Performance Coaching Re-Certification Week
In 2018 I trained as a Certified High Performance Coach in Arizona, and every second year we have to return to get re-certified/stay up to date.
Since it's online this year, it's at 9am Los Angeles. That's 4am my time in NZ, so for the next week while I re-train, I'm trying to live on Pacific Time (currently feeling very jet lagged despite no jet haha!).
Today reminded me of how freaking epic coaching is. I'm so used to having a coach (I currently have FOUR!) that I sometimes forget that other people aren't used to having a coach.
Here's what I'm working on with my coaches:
Growing my business
Deepening my relationship with my partner
Nailing my morning routine
Getting hardcore about YouTube again (watch this space!)
Healing my shoulder injury (I am also seeing a physiotherapist for this).
It's possible to achieve your goals without a coach.
But if you want to get the results quicker and make them last longer, coaching is THE answer.
It's how I've been able to so quickly build my business, get to 50 push ups, grow my social media, blog every day and become location independent!
If you've got a big goal you want to achieve, I can coach you.
It will rock your world.

Hiring a Designer
I’m super excited to be working with a new brand designer for my logo. One of my May goals was to get this done (after years of procrastinating, so I’m so pumped to have finally chosen a designer). I’ll be working with Brook from Saint Studio on this project, who you can check out here. This is a mood board she put together which I absolutely love. It’s bold yet refined. So excited to see what we co-create.

May Push Ups Update
If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know that one of my impossible goals is to hit 100 push ups in a row. Earlier this year, I hit 50 in a row, and then I got injured, trying to train like GI Jane.
Bizarrely, even though I haven’t done push ups in months, over the last few weeks I seem to be having more shoulder, back and neck pain than I’ve ever had before.
I’m currently doing physiotherapy via video calling (hopefully I’ll be able to see someone in person soon, once we leave lockdown). They’ve given me exercises to do and I’ve done a round of anti-inflammatory medication.
Here’s what I think has happened: I injured my shoulder doing push ups, and then aggravated it further working on my computer all day long. Now, even sitting on the couch causes my shoulder blades to seize up. Strange!
Walking helps, so I’ve been going for long walks, and I’ve had hot baths too.
I will get through this. I will come out stronger.
And I will not attempt push ups again until I am completely healed and I have a trained physiotherapist/experienced personal trainer around to guide me.
I’m still going for 100 push ups though. I will still achieve my impossible goal. I’m not giving up.
Unconventional Goals
Exercise, business, nutrition, finance, love.
There are few aspects of our lives that we are familiar creating goals in. Every New Year you see hoards of people joining the gym and ransacking libraries because THIS is the year they get fit/take up gardening.
But what about unconventional goals? What kind of things do we never actually think about setting as goals?
Like a 30 day makeover montage from a 90’s film.
Or staging a coup to overthrow the leader of your book club who never let’s anyone else choose the book.
Or working on your South African accent.
I like to set unconventional goals every once in a while. But they’re usually secret ;)
May Goals
Okay, here we go again!
I will easily read 10 pages of a book a day in May.
(This is so that I don't have to read three books in one day at the end of the month like I had to yesterday, haha!)I will easily grow my Facebook Group, Impossible Girls, to 2000 amazing members by 31st May.
We’re currently at 500 after just two weeks! My mission is to make this group the most supportive hang out place on the internet. (Join here!)I will easily finish my Logo & Branding by 31st May.
I've spent ageeees (like, years) procrastinating making a final choice on this. I've decided to make it happen this month.I will easily eat a salad with every lunchtime in May.
This is a specific health goal because I really want to make sure that I'm eating healthy food.I will easily do a full morning routine every morning in May.
This includes mediation, visualisation, affirmations, and journaling. I was inspired by the book The Miracle Morning (which I read most of in one day yesterday, haha!). I did a Kris Jenner meditation this morning and it was amazing (you get to meet her in a cafe and imagine what she would tell you to do) Kris Jenner told me if I want to be successful, I need to work on my publicity (surprise surprise, she's the publicity QUEEN) – so I will add this as a BONUS goal this month: I will easily create a new publicity opportunity by 31st May!
What are your goals for May?
Drop them in the comments and we can hold each other accountable!
April Goals: Review
This month I blew my own mind!
Not just because I achieved all of my goals, but because of how I achieved them all.
These are the goals I set for April:
I will easily create 7 live videos (on Facebook or Instagram) by April 30, 2020.
Completed! My friend Nicole Middleton challenged me to do this. The first 6 days were torture, and I was vowing to never do another livestream ever again. I thought about telling Nicole I wasn’t feeling well. But I convinced myself not to – I knew that the habit of the habit was more important than the habit itself. Then the 7th day, I actually enjoyed it. Now I make them all the time. I did at least 15!
I will easily heal my shoulder injury 100% by April 30, 2020.
Completed!Earlier in the year I injured myself doing push ups, and then aggravated my shoulder further with too much work at a computer. I've seen a physiotherapist (online) and it's finally on the mend, thank goodness. Nothing is going to hold me back from my impossible goal of doing 100 push ups in a row – I will hopefully be able to get back into training soon!
I will easily join a volunteer project by April 30, 2020.
Completed! One of my main passions and missions is to create a world where animals are not unnecessarily harmed, so I will be volunteering for The Vegan Society. I’m super excited about this opportunity to contribute! I spent all month wondering what volunteer project to join (and I originally enquired to Age Concern NZ about telephoning elderly people weekly to keep them from being too isolated during lockdown, but they didn’t need any extra volunteers).
I will easily complete reading 3 full books by April 30, 2020.
Completed!I half-read three books, and yesterday I imagined writing this saying “I didn’t achieve this, but I’ll try harder next time.” And then I thought, I could just try harder this time. It’s not over till it’s over. And I still had 24 hours. I actually did it! This must be the most reading I’ve crammed into one day in years. But it was so worth it. Because it’s not about reading – it’s about deciding to be the person that I want to be. How will I achieve my impossible goals if I can’t even follow through with my monthly goals? I’ve decided I’m the kind of person who commits and follows through with her goals.
The books I read were:
– Grit by Angela Duckworth
– The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod
– Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon HillI will easily join a business program to advance my skills by April 30, 2020.
Completed!I joined Stacey Boehman's 2k for 2k program. This was a mission and a half because things turned upside with lockdown. But I was so damn committed to this. I wanted it bad. I got creative. I made it work. (Even if the money accidentally went into the wrong bank account, oops – it got sorted eventually!).
I’m looking forward to sharing my May goals with you tomorrow (this year is going so quickly!).
