Updated October 28th 2024
I’m currently drinking an earl grey tea with oat milk, sitting in the cafe that hosts two of my boyfriend’s escape rooms (in Brighton, England). We are visiting for a holiday and so he can help set up the next escape room with his business partner.
It’s wonderful and weird to be back in the cafe I spent so much time trying to build my business in, during 2018-2020. That version of me was so determined, but so stuck. If she can hear me, I’d like to tell her she builds her dream business. I think she already knows that, because she never once considered quitting.
I’m also working on my next offer, which will be opening for the new year. Feels full circle.
Goals I’m working on right now:
Creating a new offer
7 figure business
Building a community in Sydney

Hey! I’m Sarah.
I set goals to feel alive.
Sweaty palms.
Racing heart.
Can’t think of anything else.Combining my background in Psychology with my training as a High Performance Coach, I help ambitious entrepreneurs, creatives and athletes achieve their goals.
l created this blog to share behind-the-scenes of my own goals and help you push your limits. I'm creating what I wish existed for me to consume.
People often ask if I’ll climb Mt Everest like my parents did in the 90's (as depicted in the 2015 film, Everest).
While I’ve done a little bit of mountaineering (Kilimanjaro in 2011 and Everest Base Camp in 2007) what most people don’t know is that my late dad was also an entrepreneur. I feel most connected to him through our shared love of entrepreneurship and attempting the impossible in all areas of life.
Ready to do something impossible together?

My June 2021 Goals
Usually I have mostly business-related goals, but this month I’m feeling the pull to focus on my health and relationships. I've healed my shoulder (whaaaat?! More on this soon!) so it feels like a great time to get back into some more rigorous health routines.
Do a cardio workout at least 4x a week
I was doing cardio before, but kind of being cautious and holding back. Now that I know I’m safe to exercise, I’m excited to just go for it! I track my satisfaction across different life arenas, and my health arena has been steadily climbing. My goal is to get from a 7/10 to an 8/10 in the health arena this month.Join a dance class with Daniel
We just signed up to Lindy Hop Swing Dancing classes (1940s/1950s style) and some of our friends are coming too. I’ve done it once before and it’s a real workout!Actively revisit the Ultimate Relationship Program
Some of you may recall that I was doing this Tony Robbins relationship program with Daniel. It’s super comprehensive and definitely not a “10-day program” as it’s suggested to be. I’d recommend spending at least 3 months on it! So now we’re going to revisit the next level of teachings and content. We just celebrated our 6 year anniversary in May, and we’re ready to dive back in!Double my emergency fund
I was leaving this goal for the end of the year in my planning, but it looks like I’m ahead of schedule. Does anyone else get major satisfaction from building an emergency fund? (I’ve watched a LOT of Dave Ramsey videos haha).

May 2021 Goals Review
Five months into 2021. How can that be REAL? Here’s my rundown of my May Goals:
Complete the back healing work by Dr Sarno
DONE. I’ve finished reading (listening) to his book on audible, and I have to say, May has been the month with the least back/neck/shoulder pain that I’ve had in the last year and a half. I’m OVER THE MOON! I’m also doing 21 day e-book program by another author, who put it together through the teachings of Dr Sarno. I’m going to do a proper review/talk about my back pain, but for now – if you have any type of chronic pain at all, READ OR WATCH SOMETHING BY DR SARNO! I mean it when I say it’s life-changing.Mindset journal every day in May
INCOMPLETE. Some days I did this in my journal, some days in my phone, but there were a few days I didn’t do. I realise it was because I wasn’t checking in with my goal list for May enough, to stay on track. I let myself off the hook too easily. However, I can say that daily, I still thought about the question, “Who do I need to BE to create the result I want?”Implement steps to make my daily work tasks more effortless
DONE. I changed some of the privacy settings on my social media accounts so that I’m not receiving as many spam messages, which is really helping me stay on task. I’ve also been repurposing my blog content and social media posts to create new ones, and that makes the “show up every day” motto that I live by a lot more effortless. Additionally, today I started getting up at 6am to write and create content to make the rest of my day more effortless (hey, it’s May 31st, it still counts towards this goal!).Start tap dancing (excited about this one because I danced for 13 years as a kid!)
DONE. I’ve been to four classes and I’m loving being back. I joined an advanced class and discovered that while I know how to do all of the steps, the challenge has been to re-train my brain to learn choreography as quickly as it’s being taught! I posted my life assessment categories the other day, and the satisfaction in my “hobbies” category has increased because I joined tap. In June, I’ve signed up to do Lindy Hop Swing Dancing and a dance fitness class too. I’m excited to get back into dancing in a big way!

The Kind of Goals Worth Pursuing
Pursue the kind of goals that are so big, you don’t even want to admit them to other people.
The ones that make you think “Can I really do this?” “Am I good enough?”
Not because big goals are better.
But because of the person you’ll become when you show yourself you CAN really do this, you ARE really good enough.
(You don’t have to hit the goal believe it – you just have to try).
They’re the kind of goals that are worth pursuing.
Pros and Cons of Blogging
I can feel my chapter of blogging coming to a close. I’m so pleased I set myself this 730-day challenge, and now that I’m nearing the end I have made the definite decision to stop posting daily (although I will probably still post when I have something super valuable to share).
Pros of daily blogging:
It’s an opportunity for me to be creative every day
I have developed my writing skills and honed my “voice” as a writer
Having almost 700 blog posts is a great resource for repurposing content
I have a record of my experience building my business and going after many goals
Cons of daily blogging
Sometimes I end up writing something low-quality, just to get a post out
It has served its purpose and I no longer feel the need to keep going
It takes time away from my other goals I’m working on
Overall, I’m SO grateful for the experience, and soon this chapter will close.
Commit Harder by Uncommitting
“If I wasn’t already involved, how hard would I work to get involved now?” – Greg McKeown
One of my favourite authors, Greg McKeown, writes about the importance of uncommitting to things in order to commit more deeply to the goal that actually matters.
His advice isn’t to just go around uncommitting from everything, but to deliberately contemplate whether you would sign up for something again, if you weren’t already signed up right now.
So often for me, the answer is no.
So at the beginning of this week, I did a clear out of my calendar.
I rescheduled appointments that were too close together.
I questioned if I really needed to complete that annoying task this week (or ever?).
I rearranged my week as if I were scheduling it for my best friend.
Now I’m already looking forward to Monday.
Mastermind Round 2
I’ve been waiting all week to find out if I got into my mastermind with my coach again.
I’m feeling joyous and relieved.
2021 feels like a good year to do some more impossible things!
You Can Have Anything You Want If You’re Willing to Do This One Thing
Asking.
You can have anything you want if you’re willing to ask 1000 people.
Most people just aren’t willing to ask.
It feels like too much.
It feels scary.
We don’t want to bother anyone.
What if you asked, though?
Imagine asking 1000 different celebrities to be on your podcast.
Or asking 1000 TEDx organisations to do a talk.
Or asking 1000 connected people on linked in if they will introduce you to Rihanna’s record producer.
Or asking 1000 magazine editors to get you a 15 minute chat with Anna Wintour.
It would probably work, right?
Someone would help.
And most of the time, it doesn’t take 1000 people.
Sometimes it just takes one person.
Because people want to say yes. We’re wired to say yes.
When I was starting out coaching 3 years ago, I asked a well-known entrepreneur if I could coach them for free in exchange for their $1000 online course. It worked.
Last year, I asked strangers at the mall to subscribe to me on YouTube – and long story short, I got 40 new subscribers in a day.
What if asking is the only thing standing between you and massive success?
What could you ask right now for that would move you closer to your goal?

April 2021 Goals Review
I’m stoked with my progress this month. I don’t try to control the uncontrollable, but thanks to my goals in April, the things I can control do feel in control, which is an amazing feeling (because it’s not always the case!). Here’s my rundown of April:
Time-block all of my activities – and really, genuinely stick to the time I said I would do them.
DONE
I didn’t write a SINGLE to-do list the entire month. Whaaaat?! That might have been the longest I’ve ever been in my LIFE without writing a to-do list. I simply put all of my to-dos onto my calendar and found time for all of them. Loving this system. I never feel stressed about lots of things to do, because each task has a designated time it will get done, pre-planned on my calendar. So freeing!Take my evenings and weekends fully off.
DONE
I have been SO much better at this. Not perfect. But waaaay better. The only time I have worked in the evenings or weekends was if there was something genuinely urgent that needed to get done.
